How do I book an appointment to view a new home?

Simply, click on the Contact Us tab at the top of our website and use the enquiry form. A sales representative will be in contact to arrange a convenient time to meet.

What can I afford?

It is important to decide on what is affordable and set a budget accordingly. You should take into consideration all aspects of buying a house such as stamp duty, land registry fees and legal fees. Also it is important to budget for other monthly expenditures such as utilities, council tax, insurance costs. It is highly advisable to obtain third party independent mortgage advise, you mortgage provider will generally help you with this.

When will my new home be ready?

We will endeavour to keep you updated throughout the build period and make you aware of any changes in programme. If you home is already built the timescales for moving in are generally down to your mortgage provider and solicitor.

How much deposit will I need?

There are lots of schemes that are designed to help you get on the property ladder. Along with the current government initiatives there are also ways in with Little Scotland can assist you. Please speak to one of our sales team for further information.

What is conveyancing?

Conveyancing is the legal process of buying and selling a home.

What are searches?

This is where your solicitor makes a variety of checks such as obtaining mining reports.

What happens at exchange of contracts?

At this point, the sale of your new home becomes legally binding to both parties. A deposit is payable.

What is a legal completion?

This is where ownership of the home passes to the new owner. Sometimes referred to as 'handover'.

What is a transfer?

The formal document that actually transfers legal title in your new home to you.
